In the “Lean and Mean” operations rule, we must not wait for failures to occur. In fact, it should be responded to and expected during the daily workload and out of the ordinary. The successful and effective maintenance process does not follow the theory of “fix the fault when it is broken.” The goal of the maintenance department is to avoid breakdowns and increase asset availability and reliability at the lowest possible cost. This puts the maintenance department management team under more work pressure. In this course, several practices are presented that achieve the above objectives.
